Listen here.

Events

Finished Projects

Susie finished her Weekend Pullover, and it is pretty adorable.

Current Projects

Susie started a Pebble Beach Shawl out of Leading Men Fiber Arts Diva in the Yarnhoarder colorway.

Danie added a square to her Stained Glass Sock Blanket (not her WeekEnder Hexi Blanket). She also put a 5th heel into her Downpour Socks which didn’t work, but has a new heel plan in place.

Project: Reconsideration

Susie reconsidered her Vedai. It has languished far too long, and she’s just doesn’t love it anymore. She is very taken with Ryo, however, which is likely what the yarn will become.

Danie reconsidered her Staring at Stars out of Miss Babs’ Yowza in the Denim colorway. She is considering striping the yarn with some of her early hand-dyed in a Cattails or a Naima.

Enhance the Stash

A big thank you to It’s All About Ewe for sending preview skeins of her self-striping in the Falling Stars and Fluorite colorways!

Susie acquired some yarn from The Lemonade Shop – a skein of DK in Spectravision and two skeins of Mighty Sock in Witch, Please, which may or may not become a Sugar Plum Shawl.

Danie treated herself to some much-deserved goodies from the Bar Maids.

New to Me

Susie tried out the yarn-themed video game called Unravel, hopped on the Instant Pot bandwagon, and put a purple streak in her hair.

Finished Projects

Susie finished her Atlantic Current Socks, and she adores everything about these socks.

Current Projects

Danie knit monogamously on her Mama Vertebrae. She had a rather major son of a stitch in which she knit the armholes a couple inches longer than she needed to.

Susie started her next curl, Gridelin, using Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport in Baltic Heather, as well as an Aranami Shawl using Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering from a kit she got at Stitches Midwest 2014. She also knit a bit on her 3×1 Ribbed Socks.

Listen here.

Enter to win a skein of yarn from One Twisted Tree by posting in the contest thread telling the girls if you were a flower, what kind of flower would you be? The thread will be open through April 8, 2015.

Current Projects

Danie started a second Mama Vertebrae using One Twisted Tree Lavish in Miss Fisher’s Pearl Handled Pistol, and worked on her 60 Stitch Skyp Socks. She also restarted one of her Dude Socks in the quest of a heel that fits right and that she can stand to knit repeatedly.

Susie worked on her scrap blanket as a sort of palate cleanser, after finishing the body of her Dragonflies Jumper. She also cast on a new pair of Swirl E. Socks using Knitterly Things Vesper Yarn in Junebug, and worked more on her Bonnie’s Wish.

Project Reconsideration

Susie reconsiders her John Huston, the Tarnished Hero socks. The intricate pattern coupled with the plain brown yarn has caused her to avoid the project for awhile, and talking through it with Danie allowed her to make the final decision.

Review

Susie reviews her new Signature Needle Arts convertible circular needle.

New to Me

Susie is ecstatic with her first Suburban Stitcher bag!

Susie knit on her Dragonflies Jumper and after an initial worry about yarn, she thinks she’s going to be ok. She closing in on the heel of the second of her Electric Rainbow Friendship Socks.

Enhance the Stash

Susie made a much anticipated stash enhancement with a purchase from Ladybug Fiber Company with two skeins of her 400 Fingering 100% Merino in Sapphire and Tourmaline for this year’s Mother’s Day Cast-On.

Future Projects

Because there are never enough shawls on the needles, Susie is planning an Outlander Shawl using stashed yarn.

Project Reconsideration

Danie reconsidered her Lintilla. She adores the pattern and the yarn, but maybe not so much together. She’s considering the Narcissa Socks.

Truth.

Susie’s new old house is not haunted. There was no real worry about this, but she feels better for having proven it not to be.

Episode 43 – How Do Prairie Girls Learn Best

Danie dyed not one, but two sock blanks she worked up (with a little help) using Knit Picks Bare Stroll. One is a Broncos-inspired colorway in blue and orange, and the other a rainbow gradient.

Current Projects

Susie worked exclusively on her Hitofude Cardigan, and is hoping to be finished with it very soon.

Project Reconsideration
