In this episode, the girls reminisce all things Stitches Midwest 2014!

Listen here.

Finished Projects

Danie finished a baby baseball hat on the fly! She worked a simple white beanie and duplicate-stitched the stitches in red. Super cute! She also wove her first scarf.

Susie finished her Rainbow Oops! socks and her Hitofude! The final verdict is she loves this sweater.

Current Projects

Susie started Song of the Sea using her hard-won #mileageforyardage yarn, Simply Sock Yarn Company’s Poste Yarn Silken Sock in Moulin Rouge.

Danie worked on her Spectra while getting a pedicure, and her Bramble Fern while on the road to Stitches. She also restarted a holiday stocking, this time opting for a plain stocking with contrasting toe and heel. While at Stitches she worked on her Featherweight Cardigan. She also started a pair of Eugenia’s Mittens using Bijou Basin Ranch’s Himalayan Trail in Dinna Fash.

Future Projects

Susie is all set to cast on the Mayapple Shawl by Dee O’Keefe. There will be an informal KAL going if anyone is interested in joining!

Enhance the Stash

In order of purchase, Susie enhanced her stash with two skeins of Shaky K Fibers Shaky Silver, a 2-ply laceweight, in Teal and Hibiscus. Next she picked up a double-shot project bag from Kitchen Counter Crafter, and three skeins of Sun Valley Fiber MCN Fingering in Edingburgh. Then came three skeins of Miss Babs Yowza –  Whatta Skein in Cloak, a shawl kit for the Aranami Shawl, Gnome Acres House Gnome in Aurora Gnomealis, and Another Crafty Girl Strong Sock in Spring Peony.

Danie came home with a bag from Knerd with a skein of Tardis from Fiberstory and a t-shirt, two skeins of Miss Babs Yowza –  Whatta Skein in Denim and a skein of Cosmic Hand Painted Sock in Berlin, a fingering-weight gradient from Knit Circus in Shades of Grey, and a Lo-Lo Bar in Hookah Girl. She also came home with her first loom, and Ashford Sample It Rigid Heddle Loom.
