Haha! Just kidding!

Current Projects

Susie turned the heel and cruised through the gusset on the first of her (second pair of) Zigzagular Socks. She also worked on her 3/4 Hap Shawl, and her Elizabeth Shawl. After a son of stitch caused her to put it in a timeout, she’s decided to keep on keepin’ on with it.

Danie’s Lintilla didn’t grow a whole lot this past week, but she did cast on a pair of Zigzagular Socks of her own!

Future Projects

The girls discuss their Mother’s Day cast-ons some more, and are excited to have company this year!

Wear Report

Susie is sad to report that her Julia Socks sprung a hole. They are four years old, so it was probably about time given how much they’ve been worn.

Enhance the Stash

Susie received a belated birthday present of Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool Worsted in Violet. She also may have some special skeins coming in the upcoming weeks.

Project: Reconsideration

Danie has to reconsider her Starbrite Socks. They may require some not insignificant surgery. Eek!

Finished Projects

Susie finished her Grenadine, and it is fabulous, even if she does say so herself. She pretty much loves everything about it.

Danie finished her StarBrite socks, and a third foot with which she monitored her progress. She knit a heel of her own design, and is still fine-tuning it.

Current Projects

Danie worked on her Dreambird a bit, and cast on a new Lintilla using Crock-O-Dye in the Plum Black colorway.

Susie worked on her Zigzagular Socks,  and cast on a 3/4 Hap Shawl using Malabrigo Yarn Sock in Chocolate Amargo and Violeta Africana. She had great difficulty winding the yarn for the project, but she showed it how was boss.

Future Projects

In keeping with their Mother’s Day tradition, the girls discuss possibilities for their second annual cast-ons. Danie is stuck on the yarn question, and Susie is thinking of TGV (High Speed Knitting) or Song of the Sea.

Enhance the Stash

Danie enhanced fiber stash with some gorgeous stuff from Countess Ablaze in the colorway Ice Queen.

New to Me

Susie has very much been enjoying the Susan B. Anderson‘s video podcast.

Episode 31 – Knitting Wishes and Spinning Dreams

In this episode, the Prairie Girls hatch plans for their hypothetical lottery winnings. Danie puts her foot down on a pair of socks, and Susie defends stashing.

Listen here.

Contest

The winner of the “Would You Rather…?” contest is announced!

Finished Projects

Susie finished her Transition Gloves! She is happy with them, but if doing so was an option for her, she’d lengthen the hand a bit.

Current Projects

Danie worked on her StarBrite socks. She is bound and determined to get them finished. Soon. She also brought her Dreambird out of hibernation and is excited to be at the halfway point and is looking forward to working more on it. And she spun! And dyed!

Susie had a son of a stitch and ripped out her  Bubble Stream socks. She also started a second pair of her Zigzagular Socks,  picked up her Elizabeth shawl, and started seaming her Grenadine. She is trying to be mindful with the seaming, and is not allowing herself to rush through it.

Truth.

Danie is thinking about trying her hand at weaving, what with all her spare time and all.
